| Customer Reviews: Tilt tray July 30, 2010 Dennis I got this to add a tilt tray to my guest bathroom sink cabinet. In general I'm pleased with the result. A couple of negatives are as follows.
- instructions for installing the hinges could be a little more clear with some guidelines on how to place the hinge vertically on the face panel.
- hinges are a little tight to operate. I have to use two hands to open the drawer because I got the 19" tray and the hinges can bind a little with one hand in the middle of the drawer.
I have a different model in my other bathroom that just uses regular cabinet hinges on the bottom of the face panel and relies on a tab protruding to the side of the tray to catch the edge of the face frame to stop the drawer. This is simpler to install, easier to open an performs the same function. Moral is KISS.
Installation issues of Rev-A-Shelf Tip-Out Tray September 5, 2009 M. Duffy (NYC, NY) The ease of installation is laughable. The instructions are lacking. The very basic instructions are written in broken English, and don't tell one at what distance from the bottom edge you're to position the shelf. You're left to guess, and hope for the best or make numerous holes/adjustments--which ain't easy! Rev-a-Shelf needs to re-edit these instructions to provide complete/correct information.
Awsome Tip out January 4, 2009 Mom of 2 (Brookings SD) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We installed this under our sink to hid all the ugly sponges, etc. We also install the baby lock that uses a magnet to open, this holds the key nicely since it is stainless steel. The Stainless steel cleans up nicely and is removed easily. The installation was a snap as well. Not sure why home do-it stores don't carry this size or in stainless steel.
Looks and Works Well September 13, 2007 W. Anger (Austin, TX) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Looks and Works Well. I've installed two of these devices now and I like them a lot. My favorites are the Rev-a-Shelf stainless steel models because they're stronger and clean up nicely. Installation can be tricky but take your time and you'll get it right on the first try. I've seen "pro" cabinet installers take two or three tries (with two or three sets of holes) so measure twice, drill once.
